our WHY
Because of our lifelong love for the natural world and a pursuit to preserve it.
Because when we had the opportunity to go to “paradise,” Hawaii, my husband and I were picking up plastic “beach glass” off its stunning beaches.
Because we never want to see another video of an awesome sea turtle having a plastic straw extracted from her nose.
Because 100 million marine animals die each year from plastic waste.
Because the largest trash site on the planet is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
Because the birth of our two children has sparked an urgency that we must change our relationship with plastic now.
OUR GOALS
To be a source of refillable, reusable, sustainable household products.
To be a facilitator of conversation, creation and innovation in our community on ways to reduce our plastic footprint and our general waste.
To support individual initiatives and organizations, locally and globally, in a joint effort towards these goals.
To create space to share thoughts, ideas, successes and challenges.
To find opportunities to make a difference for ourselves, our children and our community.
